Arborway streetcar line begins operation.

The line runs from downtown Boston along Tremont Street, Huntington Avenue, South Huntington Avenue, and Centre Street to Forest Hills. Part of the South Huntington section and all of the Centre Street section cease operation on December 27, 1985, and the tracks are removed by July 30, 1962.
